Around the world thoughts shall fly,
In the twinkling of an eye.
In the air shall men be seen.
Carriages without horses shall go.

Goss and Crested China... a small part of our collection.

Crested china from Germany

From the 1900's to the 1950' or there abouts many seaside towns and places of interest sold these items, often with the town crest or motto on a 'transfer' to remind visitors of a memorable day out or an enjoyable holiday.
At the time such pieces would have been just a 'shilling' or 'half a crown' ( 5 to 12.5 new-pence ).
Now of course as with many other nostalgic memorobilia, they have become collectors items, and can command considerably more than their original value.
